How the automatic cat litter box works

1. Cat enters - Your cat enters the litter box. While you cat is in the box, the sensors detects the cat and pauses the cleaning cycle.
   
   
2. Cat exits - Once your cat has exited the litter box, the sensors confirms it's safe to commence cleaning.
   
   
3. Cleaning commences - The barrel rotates slowly, sifting depositing clumped waste into the sealed 6L container below leaving only clean litter in the barrel.
   
   
4. Clean and reset - The barrel completes its rotation and resets to it's start position. Refreshed, clean and ready for the next use — automatically.

How often should I clean the unit?
Every 4 to 6 weeks.

What should I use to clean unit?
Wash with warm water with a gentle detergent. Do not use strong chemicals and scourers, as they can damage the surface. 

How often should I empty the waste container?
One Cat - Every 5 to 7 days
Two Cats - Every 3 to 4 days.
The mobile app sends a notification when the bin is nearly full.

What’s the best litter to use?
It works with most common clumping litters, including bentonite, tofu and mixed blends. Clumping litter gives the best results because the sifting system can separate the waste cleanly. We don't recommend crystal or non-clumping litter.

What happens if my cat goes inside during cleaning?
The sensors will pick up your cat entering and immediately stop the barrel from turning. The cycle only carries on once your cat has fully left. Several sensors keep watching throughout the cycle.

How do I get my cat used to it?
Most cats settle in within a few days to a week. Place the unit where your current litter box sits and start in manual mode, so your cat can explore it. Once they're relaxed around it, switch to auto mode.

Is it suitable for kittens and young cats?
It's designed for adult cats. If your cat is under 6 months old or weighs less than about 2-3 kg, wait until they've grown before introducing an automatic litter box.

What happens if the unit is faulty?
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, get in touch within 48 hours of delivery. Send your order number and a few photos of the item and its packaging to hello@petsworld.au
